  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs Provides a crispy texture.

Preparation

  • Peel (optional) and cut apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • Set up coating stations: In Bowl 1, add flour; In Bowl 2, whisk egg and milk together; In Bowl 3, mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.

Coating and Cooking

  • Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Lightly spray coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
  • Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Serving

  • Enjoy warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes
