Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated flaky layers biscuits
  • 1 cup canned apple pie filling, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 330°F (165°C).
  • Separate the biscuit dough into 8 individual rounds.
  • Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch diameter circle using a rolling pin or the palm of your hand.
  • Place 1 tablespoon of the chopped apple pie filling into the geometric center of each dough round.
  • Gather the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch the seams tightly to seal, ensuring no filling escapes.
  • Place the dough spheres into the air fryer basket in a single layer, seam-side down, with at least 1 inch of clearance between each.
  • Air fry for 8 minutes or until the internal temperature of the dough reaches 190°F and the exterior is golden brown.
  • In a small vessel, whisk together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Immediately upon removal from the air fryer, brush each bomb with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until uniformly coated.
