  • 4 pieces russet potatoes (6 to 8 ounces per potato) Choose firm potatoes for the best results.
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil Can substitute with olive or avocado oil.

Preparation

  • Turn on your air fryer to 400°F.
  • Rinse the russet potatoes, scrub off any grimes and mud, and tap them dry with paper towels.
  • Poke holes in each potato using a fork for ventilation.
  • Coat the potatoes with the neutral oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt all over the surface.

Cooking

  • Cook in the air fryer for about 30 minutes. Check if they’re done by inserting a fork; if it doesn’t go in smoothly, cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Once finished, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and place them back on the cutting board.
  • Cut a slit down the middle but not too deep. Gently press the sides to widen the cut and let the steam escape.
  • Fluff the insides with a fork, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy while they’re still warm.

Notes

These versatile baked potatoes can be topped with sour cream, cheese, chives, or bacon bits. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze wrapped in foil.
