Air Fryer Breaded Chicken Breast

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into 4 cutlets)
  • 0.5 cup all -purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 large egg s
  • 1 tablespoon wate r
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Place flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl and whisk to combine.
  • In a second bowl, whisk the eggs and water together.
  • In a third bowl, mix the Panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Dredge each chicken piece in the flour mixture, then the egg wash, and finally the breadcrumbs, pressing firmly to adhere.
  • Place the breaded chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Spray the surface of the chicken generously with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 6 minutes, flip the chicken, spray the other side, and cook for an additional 4 to 6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 3 minutes before serving.
