Calzone Ingredients

  • 1 package Pizza dough Can use store-bought for convenience.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded Use additional cheese for a cheesier calzone.
  • 1 cup Pepperoni slices May substitute with cooked sausage or veggies.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Can use garlic butter for richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into circles.
  • Place a slice of mozzarella cheese and some pepperoni on one half of each circle.
  • Fold the dough over to create a calzone, sealing the edges with a fork.
  • Brush the calzones with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

Cooking

  • Place the calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make sure to seal the edges tightly to prevent filling from leaking out. Customize your filling with veggies or different proteins if desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or up to a month in the freezer.
