Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 cup hone y
  • 3 tablespoons low -sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarc h
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss chicken cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until surfaces are evenly coated.
  • Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring space between pieces for airflow.
  • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket at the 7-minute mark, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • While chicken is cooking, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • In a separate small container, whisk cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  • Stir slurry into the saucepan and simmer for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens into a glaze.
  • Transfer cooked chicken to a clean bowl, pour the glaze over the pieces, and toss to coat.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
