Jalapeño Poppers Ingredients

  • 8 pieces fresh jalapeño peppers For less heat, remove the seeds.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can be substituted with other cheeses.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional) For added crunch.
  • as needed Cooking spray To spray the poppers for crispiness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds for less heat.
  • In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Stuff each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  • If using breadcrumbs, coat the stuffed peppers in them for extra crunch (optional).

Cooking

  • Place stuffed jalapeños in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Spray lightly with cooking spray and cook for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These poppers are best enjoyed warm right out of the air fryer. Serve with ranch, sour cream, or guacamole. Cool leftovers completely before storing in an airtight container; keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
