For the chicken marinade

  • 1 pound chicken thighs Boneless and skinless recommended
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Can substitute with tamari for gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds a rich flavor
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adjust for sweetness preference
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated) Fresh ginger recommended

For serving

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds For garnish
  • 2 stalks green onions Sliced for garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the mixture and marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  • Place marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they're not overcrowded.
  • Cook for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
  • Remove from the air fryer, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and serve with the remaining sauce.

Notes

To store leftovers, place in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. For freezing, wrap tightly and use within two months for optimal taste. To reheat, use the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
