  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Can substitute with granulated sugar or honey.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon For added flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Main Ingredients

  • 6 slices bread, cut into cubes Use day-old bread for best texture.

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter.
  • Place bread cubes into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  • Pour egg mixture over bread cubes, pressing gently to soak.

Baking

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until muffins are set and lightly golden.
  • Cool slightly before serving. Add optional toppings as desired.

Notes
