Ingredients
  

For the brownies

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Use overripe bananas for added sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped Can substitute with chocolate chips or leave out.

For the frosting

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  • Add the mashed bananas, sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  • Stir in the chopped walnuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool completely before frosting.

Frosting

  • Beat together the frosting ingredients until smooth and spread over the brownies.

Serving

  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

These brownies can be enhanced with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, and freeze for longer storage.
