Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch square baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
Stir in the mashed bananas until evenly distributed.
Gently fold in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
Stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 16 squares.
