Banana Cream Pie Overnight Oats

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup old -fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fresh banana slices for garnish
  • 2 vanilla wafer cookies, crushed

Instructions
 

  • Combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, and mashed banana in a 16-ounce glass jar.
  • Add chia seeds, vanilla extract, and maple syrup to the jar and whisk or stir vigorously until the mixture is homogeneous.
  • Secure the lid on the container and place in refrigeration at or below 40°F (4°C) for a minimum of 6 hours.
  • Remove from refrigeration and stir to redistribute moisture.
  • Garnish with fresh banana slices and crushed vanilla wafers immediately before serving to maintain texture contrast.
