Ingredients
  

  • 4 lbs Beef back ribs membrane removed
  • BBQ Rub enough to generously coat ribs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp kosher salt

Braising Liquid:

  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 cup Barbecue sauce

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ribs:

  • Remove the membrane from the bone side of the ribs using a blunt knife.
  • Trim excess fat if needed.

Season the Ribs:

  • Mix dry rub ingredients in a bowl.
  • Generously coat the ribs with the rub and refrigerate for up to 24 hours for enhanced flavor.

Prepare the Braising Liquid:

  • Combine beef stock, pineapple juice, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke in a bowl.

Bake the Ribs:

  • Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  • Place ribs on a baking tray lined with foil. Pour braising liquid around the ribs. Cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake for 3.5 to 4 hours or until internal temperature reaches 190-200°F (88-93°C).

Apply BBQ Sauce:

  • Remove ribs from the oven. Generously brush with barbecue sauce.
  • Broil for 4-5 minutes to caramelize the sauce or finish on a hot grill for a charred finish.

Serve:

  • Let ribs rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy with additional BBQ sauce on the side!
