Ingredients
  

For the Lemonade

  • 1 cup sugar For the simple syrup
  • 5 cups water (divided) 1 cup for simple syrup and 4 cups for mixing
  • ½ cup blue raspberry syrup
  • 6-8 lemons fresh lemon juice (from about 6-8 lemons) Juiced
  • blue food coloring (optional) Add to achieve desired color
  • fresh raspberries (for garnish)
  • lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, blue raspberry syrup, and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  • Add blue food coloring if desired, starting with a small amount until the preferred shade is achieved.
  • Adjust sweetness with more sugar or water if needed.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Pour over ice and garnish with fresh raspberries and lemon slices.

Notes

Taste as you go! Adjust the sweetness and use fresh lemons for the best flavor. You can freeze leftover lemonade in ice cube trays for future use.
