- 3-4 very ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Optional Add-ins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup dried cherries
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
Mash bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
Stir in melted butter and brown sugar until combined.
Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and bourbon.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
Stir in any optional add-ins.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
