Brownie Layer
- ⅔ cup unsalted butter
- ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon table salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
Cookie Layer
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg + 1 yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Prepare Brownie Layer:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix melted butter, cocoa powder, sugar, and eggs until smooth.
Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
Spread evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
Prepare Cookie Layer:
In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
