Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder Use high-quality cocoa for the richest flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Should be warm but not hot.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional for added richness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring to combine.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in chocolate chips if using.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream, fresh fruit, or warm chocolate sauce for an indulgent treat. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for future enjoyment.
