Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs for the base of the cheesecake bars
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted to bind the crust

Filling

  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened must be softened to avoid lumps
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for sweetness
  • 3 large eggs to help set the filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for flavoring
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples fresh apples can be substituted with pears or other fruits
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce for drizzling on top

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly mixed.
  • Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce on top and swirl it gently with a knife.

Baking

  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly firm.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

These bars are best served chilled. They keep well in the fridge for 4-5 days and can be frozen for 1-2 months. Use a warm knife for cleaner slices and store them in an airtight container.
