Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich

  • 2 slices slices of sourdough bread Thicker slices for a heartier sandwich
  • 4 slices slices of cheddar cheese Feel free to swap for Swiss or Pepper Jack
  • 4 slices slices of cooked bacon
  • 4 ounces sliced turkey Turkey breast or rotisserie turkey recommended
  • 1 tablespoon butter Butter both sides of the bread for extra flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  • Place one slice, butter side down, in the skillet.
  • Layer turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese on top.
  • Place the second slice of bread on top, butter side up.

Cooking

  • Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down lightly with a spatula.
  • Flip carefully to ensure the cheese melts fully.
  • Once both sides are golden brown and cheese is melted, remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

This sandwich is best served warm and fresh. Pair with a side salad or tomato soup for a light meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or freeze wrapped tightly for longer storage.
