asparagus, woody ends trimmed

-virgin olive oil

cloves garlic

mozzarella cheese

parmesan cheese

pepper flakes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the trimmed asparagus on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus and add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
Toss the asparagus to coat evenly and spread back into a single layer.
Roast in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender-crisp.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses evenly over the center of the spears.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with red pepper flakes if desired and serve immediately.
