  • 8 oz high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Should be heated until just about to boil.
  • 1 cup cherry puree
  • 2 tablespoons cherry liqueur Optional, for added flavor.
  • as needed Cocoa powder or chopped nuts For rolling the truffles.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it’s just about to boil.
  • Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.

Forming the Truffles

  • Mix in the cherry puree and optional cherry liqueur.
  • Pour the mixture into a bowl, let it cool, then place it in the fridge until firm, usually about 2 hours.

Coating

  • Once firm, use a small scoop or your hands to form balls.
  • Roll each ball in cocoa powder or chopped nuts to coat.
  • Place them on a tray and enjoy!

Notes

These truffles are perfect for birthday parties, holiday celebrations, or just as a sweet addition to movie night. Pair with fresh fruit or serve alongside a warm beverage for a cozy touch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
