Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless , skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all -purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon sal t
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the flour and cook for 2 minutes until the mixture is bubbling and light golden in color.
  • Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, ensuring no lumps remain in the sauce.
  • Season the liquid with onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer the sauce over medium-low heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until it reaches the desired thickness.
  • Add the shredded cooked chicken to the gravy and stir to combine.
  • Continue to heat for 3 to 5 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly warmed through.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and serve immediately over a base of your choice.
