  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, ricotta, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  • Top with the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top, making sure it's evenly covered.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

This casserole is delicious served hot, straight from the oven. Store leftovers tightly covered in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat before serving.
