  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices provolone or cheese of your choice
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until chicken is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once chicken is cooked, slice it into strips and return to the skillet with the vegetables.
  • Top the mixture with cheese slices and allow to melt.
  • Spoon the chicken and cheese mixture into hoagie rolls and serve.

Notes

To enhance the meal, serve with crispy fries or a fresh salad. Top with spicy mustard or ketchup for extra flavor. These sandwiches are ideal for game day or casual gatherings. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
