Brownie Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs beaten one at a time
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually add it to the butter mixture until well blended.
  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.

Cheesecake Layer

  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then drop remaining brownie batter by spoonfuls on top.
  • Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese and brownie batter together.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set.
  • Let cool before cutting into bite-sized squares.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or serve with vanilla ice cream for a special touch. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
