Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips dark, milk, or semi-sweet

For the Strawberry Layer:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar optional
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh strawberries for decoration optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.

Brownie Base:

  • Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.

Mix in sugar.

  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  • Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spread evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until center is mostly set. Cool for 15 minutes in pan.

Strawberry Layer:

  • In a saucepan, cook chopped strawberries with sugar and lemon juice for 5 minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch with water to form slurry, add to strawberries, and cook until thickened.
  • Cool slightly and spread over brownies.

Chocolate Topping:

  • Heat heavy cream until almost boiling and pour over chocolate chips.
  • Let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  • Spread over strawberry layer.
  • Chill brownies in fridge for at least 2 hours until set.
  • Decorate with fresh strawberries if desired. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

You can reduce sugar to 1 ½ cups if you prefer a less sweet dessert.
Gluten-free flour works great as a substitute for all-purpose flour.
Add-ins like nuts or cayenne pepper give exciting twists.
Make ahead – they taste even better the next day!
