Ingredients
  

Brownie Base

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries Hulled and halved

Chocolate Ganache

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Heated until boiling

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until well blended.
  • Fold in the halved strawberries. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Ganache Preparation

  • While the brownies cool, prepare the chocolate ganache. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just boiling.
  • Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the ganache over the cooled brownies, spreading it evenly.
  • Allow the ganache to set for about 30 minutes before slicing into squares.

Notes

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
