  • 4 large large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  • Add the torn croissant pieces to the mixture and gently fold in the chocolate chunks. Let it soak for about 15 minutes.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers tightly covered in plastic wrap or an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freeze individual portions for later, reheating as needed.
