Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

For Coating

  • 1 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Topping

  • 16 Mint Chocolate Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix together the sugar, brown sugar, oil, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes for easier handling.

Baking

  • Roll the chilled dough into small balls, then roll each ball in the powdered sugar.
  • Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately place a Mint Chocolate Kiss on top of each cookie.
  • Allow to cool before enjoying!

Notes

These cookies are delightful on their own, but you can also serve them with a glass of milk or hot cocoa. To store, allow to cool completely and then place in an airtight container. They’ll keep in the fridge for about a week and can be frozen for up to three months.
