Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream You can use yogurt instead for a lighter option.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Can be substituted with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup red and green sprinkles For decoration.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form a crust.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add in vanilla and sour cream, mixing until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until set, then remove from the oven and cool to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serving

  • Before serving, decorate with red and green sprinkles.

Notes

This cheesecake is best served chilled after a hearty meal. Pair it with coffee or tea, or enjoy with vanilla ice cream. To store, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
