Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup festive sprinkles

Instructions

Preparation

  • Measure the Chex cereal and place it in a very large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Over medium heat, melt and combine the butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Once fully melted, stir in the vanilla.

Mixing

  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal in three stages, folding as you go.
  • Toss gently to coat all pieces.

Coating

  • Place the powdered sugar and festive sprinkles in a large, airtight plastic bag and shake to combine.
  • Add the Chex cereal in stages to the bag, tossing to cover, then remove to a wax paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.

Setting

  • Spread the coated Chex in a single layer and chill for an hour to set.
  • Remove from the fridge and keep at room temperature or chilled.

Notes

Allow time for the treat to chill and set. For extra crunch, spread it correctly in a single layer to cool. Feel free to use white chocolate chips or almond butter for variations.
