Christmas Sprinkle Buttermilk Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups all -purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon sal t
  • 1 cup buttermil k
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 large egg s
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Christmas themed sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and then whisk in the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in 0.33 cup of the sprinkles into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Scatter the remaining sprinkles evenly over the top of the batter.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
