  • 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles
  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts for drizzling, optional
  • to taste green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl.
  • Mix the cakes together with a handheld mixer until crumbly dough forms. Mix in the sprinkles.
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop the dough and roll it between the palms of your hands, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all dough is used.

Coating

  • Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler.
  • Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on the baking sheet.
  • Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag in the microwave in 30-second increments. Massage the bag in between to ensure it melts evenly.
  • Snip the edge of the ziplock bag or piping bag and drizzle the red candy melts over the truffles. Top with green sanding sugar and allow to set in the fridge for a few minutes.

Notes

Store the truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Can be frozen in a freezer-safe container with parchment paper between layers for up to three months.
