Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 cup whole milk
- Green food coloring Adjust to achieve desired shade of green.

- Your favorite frosting Buttercream or cream cheese works well.
- Assorted colorful sprinkles To resemble ornaments.
- Star-shaped candies For topping each cupcake.

Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Stir in a few drops of green food coloring to achieve your desired shade of green.
Baking and Decorating
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- Once cooled, frost each cupcake with your favorite frosting using a piping bag.
- Decorate the cupcakes with colorful sprinkles to resemble ornaments on the tree.
- Place a star-shaped candy on top of each cupcake to complete the Christmas tree look.
Notes
These cupcakes can be decorated as a family activity during the holidays. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or freeze them wrapped well for longer storage. Allow to thaw in the fridge before decorating.
