  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Store-bought to save time is fine.
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Can substitute with ricotta.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded For a healthier option, use low-fat cheese.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil for cooking Olive oil

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece.
  • Spread cottage cheese on top of the sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

This dish pairs well with pasta, fresh salad, or garlic bread. For a pop of color and flavor, sprinkle fresh herbs like basil on top before serving.
