  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine

Shrimp and Sauce

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half and half for a lighter dish.
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning Adjust to suit your taste.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the heavy cream and stir well.
  • Add the cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese, mixing until everything is well combined and heated through.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

This pasta dish pairs beautifully with a fresh salad or warm garlic bread. To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. For freezing, allow to cool completely before storing in a freezer-safe container.
