Main Ingredients

  • 6-8 pieces croissants Preferably day-old for best texture.
  • 10-12 slices deli meat (ham, prosciutto, turkey breast, salami) Feel free to customize with your favorite deli meats.
  • 3-4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk Heavy cream for richness or milk for a lighter version.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary Use fresh herbs for the best flavor.
  • 8-10 slices Swiss cheese Can also substitute with cheddar or gouda.
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup butter Melted, for drizzle.
  • 1/2 cup honey Adds a lovely sweetness.
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme) For added flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut croissants into thirds and place in a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and rosemary.
  • Dunk each croissant piece into the egg mixture and layer them in the baking dish.
  • Fill gaps with slices of deli meat and cheese.
  • Mix honey and melted butter; drizzle over the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Notes

Let the croissant bake cool slightly before serving to make it easier to slice. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container. For freezing, cover assembly tightly and freeze for up to a month. Bake from frozen, adding extra time as needed.
