Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large egg s
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all -purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups semi -sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet or deep-dish pie plate.
  • Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a thick dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  • Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared skillet.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still soft.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
