- 3 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 2 tbsp sugar or honey adjust as needed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lime juice optional
Freeze your pineapple - Cut fresh pineapple into chunks and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight. If using canned pineapple, drain well before freezing.
Blend everything together - Place the frozen pineapple in a blender with coconut milk, pineapple juice, and sugar. Start blending on low, then increase to high. Scrape down the sides as needed.
Check the consistency - The whip should be thick but smooth. Add more juice 1 tbsp at a time if it's too thick, or more frozen pineapple if it’s too runny. You can also freeze the mixture for 15 minutes if it's too runny.
Serve immediately or freeze - For soft-serve style, serve right away. For firmer texture, transfer to a container and freeze for 30 minutes.
Make it look fancy - Use a piping bag with a star tip to create signature Dole Whip swirls.
You can adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of sugar or honey based on the ripeness of your pineapple.
For a dairy-free option, stick with coconut milk.
Don’t over-blend to keep the consistency thick and creamy.
