Ingredients
  

For the Marinade

  • 500 g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Batter

  • 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg

For Frying and Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon honey

For the Vegetables

  • 1/2 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2-3 green chilies, sliced
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix corn flour, all-purpose flour, and egg to create a batter.

Frying

  • Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the batter and coat well.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and set aside.

Cooking the Sauce

  • In another pan, add a little oil, sauté the diced onions, bell peppers, and green chilies.
  • Add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, and honey; stir to combine.
  • Toss in the fried chicken pieces and mix well to coat them in the sauce.
  • Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with rice.

Notes

Consider pairing with steamed vegetables or a light soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month.
