Easy Pan-Seared Chicken Breast and Green Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb boneless , skinless chicken breasts, sliced into fillets
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken fillets evenly with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken to the skillet and sear for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Remove chicken from the skillet and transfer to a plate; tent with foil to keep warm.
  • Add the green beans to the same skillet, adding a tablespoon of water if necessary to steam. Sauté for 5 to 8 minutes until tender-crisp and lightly browned.
  • Add minced garlic to the beans and cook for 60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss to combine before serving.
