Florida Shrimp Cheddar Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pre -baked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
  • 1 pound medium Florida shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cooked
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 large egg s
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnais e
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Distribute cooked shrimp, red bell peppers, and green onions evenly across the bottom of the pie crust.
  • Spread the shredded cheddar cheese over the shrimp and vegetable layer.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until well combined.
  • Pour the custard mixture slowly over the cheese and shrimp layers.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the custard is set and the surface is golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes to firm up before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
