- 1 inch fresh ginger optional but recommended
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 pinch black pepper enhances turmeric absorption
Fruit Options:

- 1 orange or lemon sliced
- 1 apple diced
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
- Handful of mint leaves
Step 1: Prepare the Base
Bring water to almost boiling in a medium pot.
Add grated turmeric and ginger.
Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes until the water turns golden yellow.
Remove from heat and strain if using fresh roots.
Step 2: Add Fruits
Place your chosen fruits in a large glass pitcher.
Pour the warm (not hot) turmeric tea over the fruits.
Add honey or maple syrup and stir.
Add black pepper (just a pinch!).
Let it infuse for at least 30 minutes (longer = stronger flavor).
Step 3: Serve and Enjoy
Strain tea into cups if you don’t want fruit pieces.
Serve hot or over ice depending on preference.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and extra fruit slices.
Fresh turmeric root provides a stronger, more aromatic flavor than ground turmeric.
Black pepper is essential for increasing curcumin absorption.
Store leftover tea in the fridge for up to 2 days.
Experiment with different fruit combinations for unique flavors!
