Ingredients
  

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Softened for easy mixing
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder Can replace with chocolate cake mix if needed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Can swap for nuts if desired

Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie dough Use store-bought or homemade

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Layering

  • Spread half of the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie layer and then top with the remaining brownie batter.
  • Swirl with a knife to combine slightly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Can freeze for up to 3 months. Avoid overmixing to keep it tender and fudgy.
