Ingredients

For the Pizza Rolls

  • 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out your pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12x16 inches.
  • Evenly spread the marinara sauce over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce, followed by half of the grated Parmesan.
  • Carefully roll the dough into a tight log from one of the longer sides.
  • Slice the log into even pieces, roughly 1-inch thick.
  • Place the sliced rolls into a greased baking dish, arranged snugly.

Baking

  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  • Brush this mixture generously over each roll.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

These pizza rolls can be served with salad, fresh veggies, or your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or marinara. To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days, or freeze the rolls before baking for up to 2 months.
