- 4 Granny Smith apples washed, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp citric acid optional
- ¼ tsp green food coloring optional
- For Each Soda:
- 3 tbsp green apple syrup adjust to taste
- 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
- Ice cubes
- Green apple slices for garnish
- Squeeze of lime optional
Make the Syrup:
Add chopped apples, sugar, water, and lemon juice to a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until apples soften.
Let cool for 10 minutes, then strain through a fine mesh sieve.
Stir in citric acid and food coloring if using.
Transfer syrup to a clean jar and refrigerate (keeps up to 2 weeks).
Make the Soda:
Fill a glass with ice.
Add 3 tbsp of green apple syrup.
Pour in sparkling water and stir gently.
Garnish with apple slices and a squeeze of lime.
