  • 2 cans green beans, drained Can substitute with fresh green beans, just blanch before use.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Can substitute with any cream soup like chicken or celery.
  • 1 cup milk Dairy-free option: use coconut milk.
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions Use enough for crunch; add more for topping.
  • to taste none salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and salt and pepper.
  • Stir in 2/3 of the crispy fried onions.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining crispy fried onions on top.
  • Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve warm.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in oven or microwave until heated through. For heartier meals, consider adding shredded chicken.
