- 1 green tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose green tea
- 1 cup hot water about 175°F / 80°C
- Juice of half a fresh lemon
- Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey
Heat water to approximately 175°F (80°C), steaming but not boiling.
Steep the green tea bag or loose tea in hot water for 2-3 minutes. Avoid steeping longer to prevent bitterness.
Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose tea leaves.
Add fresh lemon juice to the warm tea and stir well.
Optionally, add raw honey for sweetness and stir until dissolved.
Enjoy your detox drink immediately, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning.
