Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 package Red velvet Oreos (22 cookies)
  • 4 oz cream cheese Softened
  • 7 oz green candy melts
  • to taste Red heart sprinkles For decoration

Instructions

Preparation

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form. Add in the cream cheese and mix again until a soft dough forms.
  • Using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough, roll it in your hands, and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the dough is shaped. Chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second increments, stirring each time. If the melts aren’t thin enough to dip, add 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil and mix well.
  • Using a chocolate dipping fork, dip each ball into the melts to coat them evenly, then place them back on the baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the balls.
  • Place the leftover candy melts in a piping bag and drizzle on top of the truffles. Sprinkle a red heart on top to create the iconic Grinch heart.
  • Allow them to set in the fridge for a few minutes, then enjoy!

Notes

To keep your Oreo balls fresh, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can last up to a week. For longer storage, place them in the freezer, separated by parchment paper, for up to three months. Chill formed balls well before dipping.
