  • 1 cup frozen hashbrowns Thawed
  • 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your choice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying Preferably vegetable or canola oil

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine hashbrowns, crumbled sausage, shredded cheese, egg, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Scoop small amounts of the mixture and form into bite-sized patties, then place in the skillet.
  • Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure your skillet is hot before adding the patties for a crispy texture. These are great for freezing; just make sure they’re cooled completely before placing them in a container.
